dear friends, please help me with this short translation - 07-01-2008, 05:41 PM

hi all from turkey,

i'm a bjork fan and i have a few lines from the lyrics of her song 'generous palmstroke'. i actually don't know if that's supposed to be japanese but i kind of think so since this song was released only in japanese version of that album.

alsemalallforthesay
endenogatai
endenogatai - dah

if anyone could help me with that, i'd really appreciate. thanks.

It seems her album entitled Vespertine does have a bonus track which is a Japanese-language version of her song Generous Palmstroke.

I've been unable to find the lyrics to that song on the internet. And as MMM stated, the way you transcribed those three lines in red is so wild that I couldn't even start to decipher it.

a little dictionary work and previous knowledge reveals

en- relationship
gatai- difficult
o- (honorific connotation)
dah should be da- is

So maybe "This is a difficult relationship."

literally

A difficult relationship
A difficult relationship it is

Does this sound right?

Hope this helps

Even if you're not too good, I am not either and it would be fun to learn from each other.

thank you all muchly for the response. the lyrics are written like that almost everywhere on net so i think it's printed like that in the booklet of the album. i don't have that japan version so i cannot confirm tho.

i can also cut these few seconds from the song and post it here so that you could listen what she says there. if anyone is willing to give it a try, let me know.

befron what you think really fits to the main theme of the song. so i really think it might be this or something very similar.
