I know a really good website that can help you learn Japanese. I learn about Genki because of the text book that I bought had the link of the website. Is a really good website that has mini movies in native Japanese speakers teaching you how to pronounce things. Like proper manners and other important things. I hope this helps. I would recommend take a class. It's free by the way the website..

Do you have a degree? Whether you know the language or not is irrelevant unless you have a degree, you won't even be able to move there.

I've learned a lot from Japancast.net, the forums are very useful and the podcast is excellent, especially once you get to around lessons 20-30.
Hope this helps!
頑張って!

What about if you're rich, but don't have a job? Sorry about the thread de-rail, just wondering.
