Electronic dictionaries... - 06-29-2009, 08:50 AM

Hi,

I bought a Canon Wordtank v300 when I was last in Japan, but this model seems to have been superceded. Is it worth buying a new Casio or Canon from the 2009 range to replace my current model?

Thanks

No. At worst, .001% of word meanings have changed.

Unless there's just some feature you ZOMG HAVE TO HAVE like a talking dictionary that combs your hair and turns into a Gundam, don't waste the money.

I don't know the stats of the Wordtank, but I have a G50 that I've had for five-ish years, and it still works just fine even though my Japanese is drastically better now than it was when I bought it.
