Hello everyone,

Survival Japanese is my attempt to explain my understanding of the Japanese language. I'm striving to make those videos easily understood for beginners.

I checked out the "Introduction to Kanji" for poops and giggles.

And I must say, it was one of the best explanations of 音読み and 訓読み I've seen in a long time.

Nice. I checked out your kanji video, and I approve. I am only in the beginning of learning kanji but I use a similar method to what you described. I picked up a few new techniques though. Thanks!

Not that corrections were requested, regarding the から/まで video, it's incorrect to say 歩いてでどのくらい. That unnecessary で makes it sound very foreign to my native ear.

Sorry but I had to mention this as it's a teaching-purpose video.

I've just watched the first two and I like the way you explain things.

you mention french is similar to japanese verbs a few times (you're teaching japanese to english speakers), a lot of people like me don't know french. it was a waste of a few seconds but good video

Nagoyankee, thanks for the correction. Actually, I would like to go commercial with this in the future so I have to fix anything that's wrong, even details.

So you make beginner mistakes in Japanese instructional videos but you want to go commercial with them?!

Sometimes I just want to punch people in the face over the internet.

In the "asking time" video, at the new words slide the romanji for minute are reversed. I only saw "asking time", but I think it's really handy for beginners, because it's explained well.
