help translating "welcome to japan" - 07-19-2010, 03:47 PM

Hello, so I am doing a coursework about japan
and I would like to know if this the correct way to say welcome to japan "ようこそ東京へ" and how do we pronounce it? I mean, the romaji way.
Thanks

1. 東京 is Tokyo, not Japan, which is 日本. How did you mess that one up?
2. 日本へよおこそ "Nihon e yookoso" Welcome to Japan

よおこそ日本へ sounds a bit like "Welcome! (To Japan, that is)"

Correct. 東京へよおこそ
There are many ways to romanize it. Romanization of Japanese - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
