大 >>>> たい or おお
Perhaps...
Or there is the farfetched はじめ but who on earth would be called that.

光 >>>> こう?

Once again ..... ひかり seems a bit farfetched... but who knows? lol.

That is hard haha.

There is a girl in my son`s class whose name is 光 - read as きら. Doubt it`s the same, but there are really some creative readings out there.

My husband is a big anti-creative reading guy, so our son has a pretty straight name - 源輝. It actually stands out among his age group as you can read it at first (or second, depends which reading people use first) glance.

If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

Hi.
My try;
ひろし または ゆたか うーん ゆたか でいきます。
光 あきら

どうか当たりますように。(まあ、確率的にムリですが )

Does this mean that the readings are not usually found in dictionaries? hmmmm....

What a coincidence! That's almost how my neighbor's name is read.

Neighbor: = きらら
Friend: = ふとし

That's what I meant. Otherwise, no pop quiz like this.

きらら was actually my second guess, as I`ve seen it written 光 before.
Having a child in school exposes you to a LOT of interesting names.
