I also found the modern-day movie version of Romeo And Juliet starring Leonardo DiCaprio really sad aswell

I'm not sure if it was intended to be as sad as it was, but The Invisible made me cry ^_^
And Thirteen was a big tear jerker for me.

I cry at that too especially when Juliet shoots herself at the end =/
I also cry at the end of Edward Scissorhands (people tease me for that >.>). The Pursuit of Happyness also had me in tears O.o oh and of course I can't forget the ending of the original Japanese version of Dark Water...I cry at the most random movies.


I almost forgot Lion King when Simba's dad dies >.<

Maybe 'Ningen no Joken' from Kobayashi with T. Nakadai (3 parts, more than 10 hours in totality). It is from ending 50s / early 60s, but it seems they still make nights with the three parts in one night in some cinemas in Japan. Definitively (sad and) great!
