I found the trailer for Premonition. It looks pretty good. And it's not like the American one. I doubt it's a remake, but the American one might have been inspired by it.

Even so, I would like to mention that I loved the american Premonition. It's very intriguing, and I'd reccommend it to anyone (please don't look down on it because it has the same name and it's American =3)

EDIT: I just finished watching Premonition. It was pretty good. Kinda effed up at the end, but I understood it =)

Yeah, the ending is pretty intense. That's the point though :P

Here's the summary for Premonition. I didn't see the American film because I didn't want to get mad about it. American remakes are ALWAYS worse than the Asian originals.

The American version isn't a remake.

But I'm the same way, now. I gave The Grudge and The Grudge 2 a chance, because of Sarah Michelle Gellar was in them both.

There's just been too many American remakes of Japanese films. There's yet ANOTHER one coming out next year for Infection (which I'm annoyed about).

I just don't think the American films do the originals justice.

Oh, it isn't a remake? I thought it was. I saw the Japanese Premonition a couple years before the American one came out, so I was like "Oh damn, another remake" but eh. I'm glad it's not.

I watched The Grudge and The Grudge 2 also, but that was because the original director was still the director for both films. And after being a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer almost my entire life, I stalk anything that Sarah Michelle Gellar is in.

I know. That annoys me to no end.
Huh. I hadn't heard about that. I'm staying far away.

They absolutely don't.

I haven't seen the Japanese one yet. I saw a preview for it though, on another DVD. and the storylines are completely different. I think even the premise is completely different, for each.

I actually heard of The Grudge before Ju-on, so I didn't have any idea who the director was at the time.

I looked into Ju-on, after watching the first Grudge film.

That's when I first heard of her too. (I'll need to PM you.)

I have seen the whole trilogy like 3 years ago and it scared me half to death. I couldn't watch it again. It gave me nightmares.
