Japan, please make a Gundam Wing movie. - 07-03-2011, 01:26 PM

Transformers was great. But I think a Gundam wing movie would be greater!
Gundam wing "robots" are way better designed and are cooler. The storyline is better too.

Only that it would have awful CG and no budget being filmed in Japan. I would be all for a Japanese Gundam film, but they simply don't have the Hollywood budget and effects to make anything satisfying.
The only way we'd see something with CG like Transformers would be if it were filmed in Hollywood, but then all of the characters would be white and the entire storyline changed, which wouldn't really be any better.

I'm not a cynic; I just like to play Devil's Advocate once in a while.

have you seen Space Battleship Yamato? The CG in that film was good enough. I think Japan has the capability to do it.

But a direct port from the animation series won't work for Gundam though, Transformer already proofed that, the entire story needs to be re-written....

The first Transformers movie was a novelty and I was lucky enough to see it in theaters. I also had a background in the DreamWave comics and the cartoon. I would call it a mild fascination at best that is best forgotten. My interest in Gundam remains though because of the Gunpla models by Bandai. I've never envisioned the scope of a live action franchise, but why Gundam Wing, what is the fascination for you there?
