i htink ppls choice of music is taken to literally, just because someone listens to 'emo' music does not make them emo , and like wise for other types
what you wish to listen to is your own choice and i dont believe you should be judged for what you choose but i doubt that it wil ever change

it amazes me though how ppl can automatically put down jrock when most have not even tried it!

i listen to jpop, BoA mainly, and some people asked me: what the hell is japanese music? when they think of japenese music they think of kind of folk music and laugh. but i told them what it is and some guys even like it.

my dad thinks it's stupid, since he's mister army man, so of course he too brings up pearl harbor. -rolls eyes- my mom doesn't really care, since she's into the whole 'to each his own thing', and my friends are split. most of them think it's crappy/dumb, but don't make a big deal of it, some actually like it (i wonder if that's why their parents think i'ma bad influence? O.o)

but most people go with the whole 'how can you listen to that? you can't understand a word they're saying?' blah blah blah crap. -sigh- and then theres the people who pretend they like it, just so i think they're "cool" and crap.

thats how things were kinda wid me but they wernt to mena(my parents and other family memebers)
cuz my cuzin was into it too so ya later on listenin to them they got use to it plus my mom loves japanese dramas and korean dramas
so listenin to the songs and listenin to my CDs and stuff theyr lyk ok go on wid ur thing^^
