an active holiday - 11-19-2008, 11:10 PM

I will only be in Japan for a month
Other than skiing in hokkaido for 5 days, my trip is open.

Ive been looking at hiking around koyasan, yoshino and kyoto to take advantage of spring. About 10 days. I will do some jogging in these locations - depends how tired i am !!

I was wondering if there is a well known place that is good for cycling ? That means doing a route for say 5 days that doesnt involve fighting with cars - I have heard about The Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage. Any comments on whether doing part of that by cycling would be good ?

Regarding the jogging, was just wondering if there are any fun runs / half marathons between 21 March and 21 April that i could go in ?

Any assistance would be most appreciated
