I am a huge figure skating fan, and a skater myself.

Do you watch any Japanese skaters? It was awesome to see Shizuka Arakawa take home the gold for Japan at the '06 Olympics! Although I was rooting for my favorite skater, Sasha Cohen. ^^ |
My sister's Boyfriend is korean and he used to be a figure skater when he was yonger, but then he had a growth spurt and it threw his balance off and he couldn't skate as well ever again... its kinda sad...

Yeah that kind of stuff really sucks. I'm glad I didn't start skating before puberty.

i took lessons for 2 years, and i still fall on my butt when I step onto the ice, but my friend is the same age as me, 13, and she is absolutely amazing! She always does well in her competition, and has only slipped twice. i am so jealous of her....although she has been skating alot longer than me......
