A new Tenchu-like game. Shinobido, while not part of the Tenchu series, added some interesting concepts to the Tenchu like gameplay and I feel the game should go in the direction of Shinobido.
A Street Fighter 4 that DOESN'T reuse past character designs and concepts. Well reusing a little is OK... but I think Capcom sold out.
A Mercenaries game which isn't buggy. Mercenaries 1 was based on an amazing concept. It was sort of GTA in a war zone. Haven't played Mercs 2 but the reviews aren't flattering. What saved the Merc series was the concept and the sandbox gameplay but wouldn't it be niced to see a refined Mercs game?
A long time ago a game named Shaolin was released for the PS1. The game was very average but again... like Mercenaries the concept saved it from poor execution. In Shaolin you start off as a child and you choose a Kung Fu style. From there you go around fighting people around feudal China slowly gaining experience and new moves. Throughout the game you visit other areas and learn their styles all the while customizing your character. It was more a fighting/RPG game. Everything from the food you eat to the things you do influences how you grow from a young boy to an old man.
I'm not sure where the future of fighting games lies. Soul Calibur and Dead Or Alive make you think that the characters are just there for fan service, but hey, I'm not complaining.
