No, no, the broken Wii is in the present (well, I guess the future too.)
Call Nintendo.

If you are not messing around with cracked games then it is probably a hardware problem. I have had good experience with Nintendo customer service, and unless you did something wrong, there is a good chance they will fix or replace for free.

I had a similar problem with a frazzled DS. I sent it in and they sent me a new one no questions asked even though it was out of warrenty and at no cost to me.

Yeah, my Wii didn't play the discs, it would make this weird sound, they fixed it very well or gave a new one and the origional was from Amazon.

Now I don't have it because Texas is a big fat greedy jerk half the time!

Keep a close eye on that Wii around guests!

My Life Sucks- The kids I babysit have drooled, ripped or drawn on all of the cards and put the cars with the little people in the microwave!

I have no Friends- The cats have scratched and destroyed all of the DVDs!

I always owe someone- In fact I put two os in it!

I always ruin my clothes with Bleach!- The show is so dom suspensful I spill my grape soda on them!

But . . .I'll live.
