Not distorted per se. The Dal-ar-Islam you are talking about retains Arabic as the prestigious language of this cultural sphere. This doesn't mean that all the people speak Arabic natively. But still, Arabic is respected in this case.

Turkish is a easy language to learn if you are Japanese or Korean, because its in the same language group.
