Japanese... friendly or not? -

Hello
 I've been thinking of moving to Japan for a very, very long time. I can't really find a reason why, but something is dragging me there. I just must go. Anyway, I heard somewhere a while ago, that japanese are very unfriendly to outsiders (I am not asian myself). Is this true?

Japanese are not one person, but a country of 125+ million people.
There are a half-dozen threads already covering this topic. I am sorry to sound gruff, but please explore the threads that exist... or reverse the question and insert "American" into it.
