Moving to Nagoya in 8 days!!

I'm moving from my hometown of Portland, Oregon to Nagoya on Sept. 18th. I'm going to be working with Nova Group. I'll be living in Nakamura-ku. Anyone live there or visited before? I know it's the 4th largest city in Japan, and I'm really excited about that because I like the urban lifestyle. 8 Days to go!

I like Nagoya. The people there are a little quirky, though. They spend more on weddings in Nagoya than in any other city. For some reason, they take them very very seriously.

I live just outside Nagoya, just a hop over from Nakamura-ku. I drive by Nakamura park just about every other day - it`s about 5 minutes away.
You`ll pretty much be downtown.

Nagoya isn`t Tokyo though, so I can`t comment on the "urban lifestyle" you speak of.

As for weddings - we spent 1,400,000 on ours. Had the wedding in Atsuta Jingu. It was indeed painfully expensive.

Cool, I live in portland to. Congratulations on the move. I have always thought Nagoya looked cool, along with Osaka.
