There were a couple. One, I haven't heard from in a while, as he's in the Middle east. Sangetsu, a very smart poster, is discharged and teaching in Japan. You'll find him all over this site. Most of the folks here are anti-military, not pro-US. Mostly young liberals who don't understand what it is you are doing. They are still bright and friendly and I enjoy thier company on this site. But if you research the military and soldier type threads here, you won't be flattered. Sincerly super-supportive of the military and extremely pro-US, I hope you find more friends here. If I can be of any assistance, feel free to contact me.

Paul,

Thank you for the information, tips and advice. To bad I seem to be the only one, I had some questions to ask too, so I'll ask them in the correct section.

Thanks,
Peace!

retired - if you count 24 years as a dependent being drug from one base to another.

Nope. All our foreign assignments were across the other big pond.

But mostly the foreign pilots came to the US to train with my Dad --- from everywhere. And it was facinating for me because I always ended up at formal functions sitting with the lesser ranking pilots (aka younger!) and learning about where they came from and how they viewed Americans. Naturally, they were far more open with me (a teenager) than in conversations with their commander present.

But they were also very aware that the commander's daughter was under age so I never saw many of them aside from formal occassions, unless they hppened to be at the base pool.
