I always assumed dreams were ongoing goals, like.. owning a business or flying a plane or ...

once you get to Japan then what? no more dream? o.O

This!

Apparently, it'll be a forever ongoing dream when they arrive.

I was eight years old when I decided I wanted to move there. I am now 20, and still working on it. My first visit is this summer, and I try to practice Japanese often.

Just keep a cool head, best way to achieve your goals. But make sure you have goals for living in Japan. Its not happily ever after there.

The other thing to consider is where in Japan you want to live. As with most countries there are many different lifestyles. You can live in the middle of nowhere and be completely immersed in the more traditional style of Japanese living and probably speak no English whatsoever, or you can live in a big city which is pretty much a western lifestyle and most of your Japanese friends will be wanting to practice their English with you.
Or somewhere in-between these two extremes.

Less is more...

I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to live Japan for 13 years since I was 3 years old. I am planning to go back and live there.

Sometimes I will look up Japanese stuff and find songs in Japanese,
and a lot of the times I hear "wa tash e wa". What does that mean?
