Amateur actors and extras wanted for a film shooting in Tokyo in March/April 2011

Konnichi-wa minnasan! / Hello everybody!

We are a small team of young German film makers.
We are looking for Japanese people in Tokyo who are interested in acting in front of a camera for our movie.

Our current non-profit project is a low-budget independent movie, a visually ambitious coming-of-age arthouse drama with lots of music!

It is about a young man who encounters during the course of one day in Tokyo several extraordinary people and situations that help him to find his place in life.
The movie is currently in pre-production, the main shooting will be from March, 26 to April, 15, 2011 in Tokyo.

The movie is going to be a collage of different film genres and art forms, mixing various styles, designs and techniques for a unique and fresh experience. We'll try to show Tokyo and its citizens from an extraordinary perspective.

We are still looking for the following Japanese amateur actors (no professional acting skills required) in Tokyo:
- a girl, about 18-25 years old. Larger part, several days of shooting
- a young boy, about 9 years old. Two scenes in the city, one scene in the subway. 1-2 days of shooting
- Neon Preacher: male, any age. Gets to wear some colourful neon clothes and may proclaim the end of the world :-) (~1 evening)
- Gangster, 3 young men in white suits, one of them the gang leader (~1-2 evenings)
- a man, about 40 years old, in a business suit, reading a newspaper on the streets (~40 minutes)
- elderly couple, sitting at home and reading (~1 hour)
- guy wearing an empty TV case on his head (2-3 days of shooting)

The length of the shootings are only roughly estimated and might change.
Because of the very limited budget, we can't afford much payment. But we can guarantee a great shooting with a nice team.

Apart from that we are always looking for Japanese people who would like to act as an extra in Tokyo during the filming of this movie and want to bring their own extravagant outfits.
