That looks like an interesting piece. It appealed to me instantly because I personally like purples a lot. I see this piece as a modern combination of ukiyoe techniques and a pinch of surrealism. I would think that it could be even better if you drew a small-size person(s) someplace, such as on top of the whitish mountain.

Thank you. I chose purple mainly because I find it a very calming color. And actually Eyvind Earle is who inspired me most for this techniqe. And that's a good idea, putting person(s) in the painting. I might do that next time to a similar painting!

I told ya! I see a lot of Japanese ukiyoe influence on Earle's work! His use of bold, contrasting colors is not a traditionally 'Western' technique at all.
