Why does EVERY BODY think that if you like anime or manga your weird. Its stupid! They will say they think its "GAY" then Ill make them watch it and they will love it. Its really bugging me.

I dont think this is the right thread for posting but ill comment anyways.

People (no one in specific so dont get offended anyone) like to assume things. I watch anime, do you assume I watch anime and only anime, that my entire life revolves around anime?

I believe that's the general reason why people who dont like anime think people like us are weird, though i see it the same as watching things like smallville or the OC (<---I've only seen 3 episodes.)

Yeah, I get that alot. I do have a lot of friends that like aime though. Many people think that since it's animated it is some kind of childish cartoon. If they can assume that than maybe I'll start saying the same things to those who watch Family Guy and the Simpsons for they are both animated

Actualy, that works sometimes I have a friend named Ari, and he though anime was the dumbest shit ever. Then I showed him FMA...And he liked it whether he admits it or not . The whole time he was watching it, "Wait go back ,I didn't hear him...That was AWESOME!...I mean gay..." Lol

People are just that way but if you like anime it really shouldn't matter, alot of the people I hang around with think anime is porn or something (-_-#) . . . I'm not that open with my pervyness . I don't think it would work if you forced it down there throats at least not christian style hopefully hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Show them Evangelion, see if they still think anime is for children. WARNING: long exposure to evangelion may cause depression and or other Shinji-like symptoms

Heh, I have over 20 Anime cells (all key frames) framed up in my place. People are always taken with the artwork and ask me about them. I then show them I have the film or series the frame is from and they are always like WOW! I didn't know this existed.

An anime/manga fan is no different from people who like horrors or action flicks or people that collect nice things. They have found a focus that gives them enjoyment, this is good. Everyone else is wrong.

PS. at last count my cells were worth over $14k (£7k) and I must have bought the whole lot over the years for about $3k
