hey i reckon instead of a chat thread a chat room should be opened it would be so much better than having to refresh the page every bloomin time !

This was all talked about a long time ago. As I am sure everyone is aware, only an admin can create such a section.
If such a section did existed, post count would not be allotted.
I believe it was decided that if this was created that the J-parts of the forum would receive even less attention then they do now. Since we are all aware that General is the most active section and has more posts then the rest of the forum combined. (At least it used to.)

Or are you talking about a "shoutbox" ?

No no no, not even a shoutbox. such stuff ruin the forum, people become lazy to post in threads. trust me, in all forums i have managed it all ends the same way.

Seems that would be a good idea, no? My old forum had one, and it worked out great from what I know, and I was good friends with all the admins so I'm guessing it did work out great lol

I was just going to post that i understand the reasons given above for no chatroom - i never thought about it like that.

But it looks like Mia's done the job now - so nice one Mia!
