In Japanese when I leave a friend I say konnichiwa (like in Italian where we say Ciao when meeting and leaving)
Firstly, you never use 'konnichiwa' when parting with someone. Depending on how close your relationship with your friend, there are a variety of ways that you can say them.

As the earlier posters had mentioned, you can use 'sayonara' and 'bye bye'.
If you want to say, 'see ya', 'see you around' etc, you can say:
dewa mata
sore dewa
sore ja
ja mata
ja ne
ja
etc.
