It wasn't wrong exactly, I just wanted to check you meant you, her AND some others, because if it was just you and her, it might have been worth re-phrasing it. But it's correct to use 'we' in this case, so I'd go with Koir's revision: "We were sad to say goodbye, so we took many pictures with her just before she left us"
