I'm new here and I'm not sure if this has been asked before or not.

However, I was searching the web for the past few days in search of an exchange program that would accept me into it. I'm too old for most programs and I don't have the proficiency in Japanese to do a university exchange (I'm just turning 18).
My friend is going on an exchange in a few weeks, and they're doing high school level exchange, even though they along with me have just finished high school, but they signed up last year... so I dunno what are my options.
There are some who accept 18-and-a-half-year-old's but I would be over 18 1/2 when they started.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas on where to look or does actually know where to look etc.
