The only kind I stay away from would also be Hentai. Not to say I haven't given it a chance. Just don't care for it in any way.

I don't watch much anime anymore, but when I did, I avoided the cutesy type of anime. I like anime that is a bit more dark and realistic but still keeps my head in the air :)

I stay away from mecha anime/manga, except Evangelion. I'm more into the ecchi/harem/romance/drama/school life types of anime/manga:D

I normally stay away from hentai and things with explicit content, along with mecha anime and anime based off games (though the .hack SIGN anime was pretty good.)

Although there are definitely specific manga/animes I avoid, I don't dismiss any genre. I'll give anything a try.
