got my last dvd of 2nd gig today. came with a small tachikoma and individual 11 t-shirt! :D

Gungrave is possibly by far one of the best anime tv series to date, 10 times better than the hellsing 13 episode tv series (which i liked, but gonzo did a crap job adapiting it from the manga, milk blood anyone) although Hellsing ultimate is shaping up to be 10x better, faithful art and gore.

I was the same! XD, well, minus the shrine, but if I saw something pokemon, i'd be like "OMG! I NEED THAT!" and, being a spoilt brat, I'd get it. I have TALKING MONEYBANKS for goodness sake...

a fandub is exactly that. a group (of fans) put their voices into the anime and dub the place of the japanese version. there have been numerous attempts at this, including for chobits, mahou sensei negima, and some others. but they usualy progress really slowly (due to lack of popularity or...well, failing. lol)
Okay, yeah. Me and my friends tried that, but for our own entertainment. I dont think it would work as well...

thats an odd number you chose to scale with...11...o_O lol
:pompoms: YAAAY for odd! XD I just grabbed a random number that sounded right.

I've now found PPG Z. It's really weird watching it, becasue I keep thinking of the original PPG, but it's grown on me! I think I really do like it...
haha, their transformation sequences RAWK.

:vsign: Peace out! (<-- blame Scrubs)

Most People have seen animes like Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach, Naruto, wolf's Rain and Trigun so I won't even mention them.

A movie that every anime fan should watch is X. It is by Clamp. Most people refer to it as X/1999 because it was released in 1999. It is about a boy named Kamui. He lives in Tokyo and when he was born he was granted God's Power to save humanity. There are two groups of people with psychic powers that clash. the dragon of the Earth and dragon of the Heaven. There really aren't any bad guys in this story. The Dragon of Earth want to kill all of humanity and save the Earth from pollution and destruction. And the Dragon of Heaven want to save Humans and the Earth. The Movie has alot of killing and blood so it is definitely for the more mature audience.

My second movie that I present is AKIRA. It was first a manga and it came out 1987. I know it is pretty old but the art and drawing is so accurate and detailed. It is the first anime I ever saw. It was created by Katsuhiro Otomo. It is about a boy named Tetsuo who encounters and accident with his motorcycle firends/gang called "The Capsules" why that name? no clue, but capsules are a drug that characters in the movie take. Anyways, Tetsuo goes to a government hospital and come to find out in the accident he received special psychic powers that he uses to destroy Tokyo's military and is trying to find an ancient being called AKIRA who in the past destroyed Tokyo and the explosion resulted in World War 3. Now it is in the 2030's and there is Neo-Tokyo. I could go on all day about AKIRA. It has a deep confusing background about the creation of the universe, and alternate dimensions. It is a must see and a must read!!!!

Akira! my first manga/anime show.. it introduced me to the world of anime, all hand pictures and animation were hand drawn.. sweet! the storyline was so cool and soo funny at times, overall i'd give it a 10/10

BeBop and Champloo

I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet in this thread since I didn't read all gazillion pages, but Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo were produced by the same guy.

If you liked, loved or obsessively adore Bebop, you will love Champloo even more. You will notice some similarities in character traits and art work. I feel that Champloo is better written and shows the director/producer has really progressed in his story telling since it is his latest work.

Trigun is also a decent one although the end to the series is a bit vague and it can get pretty preachy at times.
