Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles
 

Tsubasa is another really great anime that everyone should watch. Lots of people say that its related to Card Captor Sakura and they are right. It is not a continuation of Card Captor but its more of a different spin on the story and when I mean different I mean like the only similarities are that the characters have the same names and they look for stuff... Its feathers this time too, not cards. Anyway..... If you like fighting you should look into this anime. There is not a lot of blood so it might be a turn off to some people. Another interesting spin is that when the characters change "worlds" they run into the same people they meet in other worlds. The People are the same essence but different beings. Its hard to describe so you just have to watch it. Also this anime stresses devotion and friendship so check it out!!!

I just watched the first episode of Dragon Ball (I plan on watching the entire series). From whatever Dragon Ball/Z/GT episode/movie that I've seen or read (GT is anime-only, I know), I've noticed that Goku as a kid has been the number one factor as to my liking it all. I have a feeling I'll enjoy DB more than DBZ because, well, to me, Goku is more fun as a kid.

Great Anime that is very old is Ranma 1/2. It has to be one of the funniest animes I have seen. But if you want a hilarious anime the only way to go is Excel Saga, which is the most random anime I have seen, with a different style every episode

Gundam Seed (not destiny)
Serei no Moribito

I grew up watching anime from the Sci-Fi channel in English like Martian Successor Nadesico, it was quite funny. Neon Genesis Evangelion was a winner for me back in those days, it was unpredictable and mind bending confusion but big mecha fighting drew me in much like Gundam Wing and Seed. Comedy animes I have watched so far Honey & Clover and School Rumble, very enjoyable. The dragonball series is just epic and the Ghost in a shell series, cyber space and tachikoma, love it!

2 of them is "high class" anime (eyeshield 21 and KHR)

I like this anime very much because it's so different from all the others... It's just extremely funny AND there's no violence or action. That's a plus to me... basically an anime for sensitive souls! xD

Nodame Cantabile, both the first and second season
Detroit metal city
great teacher onizuka, the anime is good but i would read the manga first since i find the manga to be ten times better
