Ai Yazawa and Yuu Watase
I want everyone to rant about these two incredible manga-ka. About any of their works that you are fans of.
Ai Yazawa: --15-nenme --Love Letter --Kaze ni Nare! --Escape --Ballad Made Soba ni Ite --Marine Blue no Kaze ni Dakarete --Usubeni no Arashi --Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai --Gokinjo Monogatari --Kagen no Tsuki --Paradise Kiss --Nana --Princess Ai Yuu Watase: --Fushigi Yugi --Fushigi Yugi Genbu Kaidan --Shishunki Miman Okotowari --Epotoransu! I love both of them! They are really amazing ladies and their works are amazing. My favorite from Yuu is Absolute Boyfriend. I wish it was longer. Nana is awesome work from Ai!:D

I LOVED LOVED LOVED Absolute boyfriend.
Never has a manga made me cry, but it did. as did the drama XD |
I love Yazawa's works. A lot of the stuff she makes is very... emotional. I can connect to all of her characters one way or another in anything I've read.
|
Absolute Boyfriend was awesome, but I like Fushigi Yugi Genbu Kaiden more. Still waiting for Chapter 32 to come out.

Yay, people replied to this ^.^
Everyone seems to like Absolute Boyfriend. It was a really adorable/sad manga. And the drama is cute too, although I think they could have picked a better actor to play Night. And I agree with you, Yuna. Ai Yazawa's work is always emotional or makes you think on a deeper level, that's why I love her. And Fushigi Yugi is amaazzzziinnnggggg! The anime is awesome! Watch it! |
I'm still confused on Yazawa, Ai. Was it really her who made Princess Ai? What about the others: Courtney Love, D.J. Milky, and Misaho Kujiradou. What did they do with the manga?

I love them both, their so amazing! I only recently heard of Ai Yazawa because of Nana, which is easily the best shoujo manga I've read.

It's just too >.< I disagree with you, Mokomichi was an excellent choice. He portrayed it realistically to say the least. it was more focused on the OL theme[office lady] and it was a much more mature way of portraying the manga. I really liked that. |
I haven't read much from either of them, but what I have read, I've liked. Ai Yazawa is stronger with story, and Yuu Watase is stronger with art, I think.
