Flashback! Old anime shows, name some^^
 

Well I was just trying to think of some old shows I use to watch.
Horribly, I cant remeber half the names of them.

Umm...theres Monster Rancher(haha, the evil guy was called Moo XD) and Cybersix.
Thats all I can come up with for now.

What are some shows everyone else use to watch?

There is the basic DB series, then up cyborge 009 I think it was called, Lupin the 3rd, um........gundam, .Hack, shuuuuuuu, somethin racers, that's all I can come up with at the moment.

lol, yeah, I used to watch them all the time, but then I found AzuManga Dioah. it's the best anime ever. I'm most likely beable to come up with more later, when i can think.

Daigunder is one of the old ones. Yu-Yu is old too and so was Saiyuki Reload... Hmm let's see... Of course the original Cardcaptor Sakura, a really old one called Rahula, Captain Tsubasa, Oban Star Racers (don't know if this counts) and yep .hack//sign.

I'll try and think up more! :rolleyes:

These are some of the earliest known anime to air in America,

There are three anime that top all the others........Sailor Moon.....CCS and Death Note....

The thread specifically quoted "Old" anime k-cube so deathnote probably won't make the list (though it is still the best! :rolleyes: )

I am shocked and appauled the Voltron has not been named yet. :P First anime I ever saw man, I was like five and I thought it was the sickest thing ever on the face of the planet. XD

there was an anime that inspired the Sailor V and Sailor Moon series, i can't remember the name of it, but it was in the 80s
the original Power Rangers series was an anime (can't remember what it was called, but it was no where near as cheesy as the 90s shows)
the original AstroBoy
was Gigantor an anime?
Macross (i don't remember the other two series, but all three were compiled into the american series Robotech)
i think Ultraman started as an anime
um....i think that's all i remember seeing during the 70s and 80s, besides Akira (saw it in the theatres, before they started enforcing the ratings system *does a happy dance*)

God there's this one I used ta always watch and it was supposedly the first anime with that kinda animation where it's computer programmed and not cartoon-style >.< I can't remember the name, though

FlashBack! DragonBallz.. Classic! the fight scenes are totally awesome, mouthdropping, adrenaline pumping, headbanging, ecstacy!

um...actually, not classic...DBZ is fairly new...90s, i believe, though it's hard to tell from the animation. Ranma's older, i think

i can't remember when the Bubblegum series came out...i want to say it was 80s, but it might have been 90s
there was a movie that had like two different american titles, not sure of the japanese one. one of the american ones was Orion: The Starsailors, or something
Devil Hunter Yohko might be a classic series
Dirty Pair was pretty old too...i wouldn't recommend it to younger viewers though. there are a lot of...ahem...subtle innuendos...in it
the Dragon Quest anime has GOT to be old, considering the first game was for the NES
Evangelion would have to be pretty old. Weird Al did a song that was a parody of a Tiffany song, and the only video i've seen for it was a collection of Rei Ayanami footage

Escaflowne was mentioned earleir.
God I loved that show.
Especailly when escaflowne changes into a dragon. ^^

actually, Escaflowne is VERY recent. I first saw it online, thanks to a friend of mine, my only year at the University of Dubuque. they butchered it here in the US, but that was in 2001. It might have been a couple of years older, but definitely not classic.

Pokemon was first then Digimon came out..

Sailormoon is really old too XD

There was a show I enjoyed a lot when I was younger it was called Yaiba and you have the ever so classic Doraemon.

Getter Robot, Getter Robot G, Mazinger Z, The Great Mazinger, Kotetsu no Jeeg, Devilman (not the OAV) and other Go Nagai's series ... ah, UFO Robot Grendizer of course (but all of these are really old, you know).

I was going to say the earlier pokemon episodes. I watched a couple of the new episodes and I don't care for them too much. That is all I got really. ):

Well When i had like 3-4 years I watched Doraemon, Sailormoon, Dragon Ball, Gundam Etc. lol

I can't believe that no one has mentioned Ginga Nagareboshi Gin yet. O_O It's from year '86.

Other quite old "anime" is Moomin. I think Moomin is anime? :DD Whatever, I love it. <3
