I got your point, I was just kidding with the "more than that" part.

really? cuz they look pretty human based to me.... it basically appears as if someone wants to see something like that in real life, but its illegal so they just draw it.

i can see justice in some motives towards a death.... i can never, ever see a good motive towards reading that crap... its just to get yourself off/happy..and that is whats sickening.. and thats on par with a serial killer with no motive besides insanity. and as for yaoi, i can understand there is nothing wrong with it for most people. but to me, its the most absolutely immoral thing someone could do.. and thats purely my view.

Better that they draw it then actually do it. We are not talking about molesting five year olds here. Many characters in yaoi are drawn to look younger then they actually are because that is the style. And, as atakicat said, shota is only a very small percentage of yaoi. And if you think yaoi in general is immoral then I don't know why you are even bothering to look at this thread.

And yaoi, for all that there are good stories, etc. is basically a type of semi-sophisticated porn, so really what else point is there except to "get off/happy"

And likening it towards a serial killer is a little harsh. As i pointed out before, no one is harmed, at least physically as you agreed.

i cant help but piss myself off...its a curse

Edit: @ the porn comment, *scorn* i think perversion of any sort is pathetic and just plain sad. its shallow... i guess ill try not to post in here anymore... its just a tad difficult since its an eye sore on this site

I don't mind it. Haven't really found one with a decent plot though. Suggestions are welcome.

As for Shota, that's a whole different kettle of fish. Too close to home, I've worked with children who were sexually abused and the concept is a little too near for me to feel comfortable about it.

Edit: I've noticed that in Yaoi the males seem to be more feminine, not sure if that means anything. I assume it caters to a woman's ideal of a homosexual relationship than a gay man's. I've also been told that Shota is less about sexual attraction and more about a love of childlike innocence and cuteness. I don't know if that's true or not though.

Saint@ Yeah, true. Yaoi is very much about the perfect beautiful male with semi-long hair and seductive eyes. I'd say yaoi is created more for the bi-curious females than for homosexual guys, really.

I like certain yaoi. I used to buy it from my book store a couple years ago.
I haven't looked at yaoi for a while, though.
