How much of a nerd do you think I am? I have no idea who those people are. You should be grateful I even recognized the term "yaoi".

Are you kidding me?!?

It doesn't matter if you are 'smart' or not(note I use this term loosely), I do belive that it don't matter if you are a nerd or not! And if you don't know who the are then either watch the anime or read the manga!:angryblob: Your ansering though you give everyone a chance to argue with you I would like to point out if you don't like the subject than you don't have to anser a post in this forum! I find that this website has some manga people will probably reconize. InuYasha is on www.onemanga.com ~You can read it on that website or you can find it on www.yootube.com and watch it in either english or japanese. Also the fact you could only reconize the term yaoi probably means your not all that smart witch in turn mean no your not a nerd because nerds are extremly smart. You could be a prep for all I know! :pinkbow:

Uh...I have no idea what Azulieangel's post was about, but surely even without knowing the characters you could tell that 'blahblah and his brother' implied incest. I could and I've never seen Inuyasha. It's not about being a nerd or not it's semantic logic.

EDIT: I'll hasten to add right here that I personally have no interest in incest-themed anything.

AzulieAngel 11-23-2009 11:03 AM

Heh, sorry?

I put two links in that post to some websites that have InuYasha on them(1 for the manga & anther for the anime) for Tenchu to go to.
I was also attempting to call Tenchu an idiot for only being able to reconize the word yaoi but not really doing any research to know exactly what the post's were about.
Tenchu do you like yuri? If so then why do you have a problem with yaoi? What I'm saying is that the two genre's aren't that different from each other! Hence if somebody calls one of them sick then aren't they the pot calling the kettle black? The only difference is is that the people in yuri are female while in yaoi they are male!

I would give up, if I were you. Tenchu most likely has no interest in finding out about more about Inuyasha (which is fair enough; seeing as I don't either and I'm not disgusted by the topic in hand) and so far he hasn't said he likes Yuri either. Whether or not he's an idiot for posting insults in the thread (sick nerds with unnatural interests so far?) is up for debate, but I being able to list characters knowledgeably doesn't help either side of the argument. His objection is the homosexuality aspect of Yaoi media, not the specific characters being mentioned.

I don't know what she was talking about either. I think English is not her first language.

I was just a little bit shocked. Actually, I just downloaded all the Harry Potter movies, and I have been watching one each night for the last few nights, and am watching another tonight. So it kind of hit the spot hearing what someone said given I'm currently watching the movies.

I don't really like any porn, actually. Especially, cartoons would never do it for me, even if I did. But, I'd much rather have a picture of Jessica Alba in a bikini on my wall than look at some yuri of her on the internet, or any porn for that matter.

But, I particularily dislike the idea of using real characters to act out homosexual fantasies. How do you think Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter actor) feels about this? I'm sure he'd be less offended at hetrosexual cartoons, but I bet gay cartoons is not really his cup of tea.

I'd imagine, what if someone made a yaoi of me and Mike Tyson or someone? I would not approve.

I do not like any of this, but I especially dislike using real people.

Heh~ no, I can appreciate your viewpoint. I just dislike it when this kind of argument stays at nothing more than "EWW, gay people are gross" vs, "OMG, No wai u loser! Yaoi is totally hot!" because I can see from a psychological perspective that it's somewhat more subtle than that.

I agree some of the aspects are highly dubious and I don't agree with producing erotica based on real people without their express consent. There's also some very grey areas with 'ages' and as you've seen, things like incest, but I don't think those areas fail to exist in other types of erotica either so if we're just talking mainstream Yaoi, the only 'disturbing' aspect of it is the homosexuality.

I imagine if Dan. Radcliffe has been on the internet lately he's fully aware of what his fanbase gets up to, but then he is not actually Harry Potter the character and I think there lies the difference. Whilst there IS stuff featuring 'D. Radcliffe' the vast majority of the related yaoi media is about 'Harry Potter', and sometimes such an altered version of the character it's virtually a different person with the same name.

I've seen a surprising amount of stuff based on Japanese or Korean boy bands however, particularly comics and I'm more suppressed their agents haven't suppressed it already. I imagine if any compromising photographs of them were drifting about, they'd have stamped all over it, but the doujinshi somehow seems to slip through the net. Very curious.

You must have written this paragraph before the sun had risen.

I understand the rest of your post, but can you please do this bit again.

I'm an American and proud of that fact!
My only language so far is english but I realize that I was not very clear the first time so I tried to corect that fact.
I was half asleep when I wrote that so I understand why you couldn't understand what I wrote.
Anything I write probably portray's me as insane, though I'm probably as sane as any of you!
I'm not going to try to get you to understand but not all yaoi is porn like!
This is the last post I'll put in this thread because I presented my side of this little debate to you, yet you don't understand what is being told to you by me and I'm fine with that!
Sayanara(spelling)good-bye)
