Hey Debi, So do you know what period these types of rooms came in style in japan..?? Look at pictures above your comment

Hmmm, I'm no expert in architecture, I'm more into history.

I know that this kind of japanese style room with the tatami and the sliding doors existed as early as the beginning of the Ashikaga bakufu. Which is... around 1350. Maybe even 1 or 2 centuries before that.

Earlier it was only reserved for the richest families but as time spent, more and more families could afford it, almost only samurais.

It is pretty safe to say that in 1600, the year Tokugawa won over his rivals, this kind of rooms were widespreads.


Gimme a stick and I'll make a masterpiece out of it, go figure.
