Yakuza and Triad have one thing in common: they adopt the least Confucian principles to their own groups.

Anyone hear about the prosthetics thing? There's a woman who discovered a way to make very realistic prosthetic hands and fingers for people who'd lost them in accidents and so on, only to find she had dozens of Yakuza queuing at her door, wanting to retire to another area or keep their activities hidden from their families and needed to hide their missing fingers to do so.

I agree with MMM..
The Yakuza is bigger than most think.. They are embedded in politics and large financial companies in Japan.. The brothels are openly popular in Japan and I've heard that the larger majority is run by the Yakuza.. Imagine what would happen if they died! |

Yakuza- A discussion about the Japanese gang
I barely understand what the Yakuza are and what they do. Mom is freaking out about the Yakuza because she heard/ read something about them that was bias and inaccurate. So can you help me out? ANY and all information on them will help.

No, I don't. She's afraid that if I do live in Japan and work for a Japanese company I'll be somehow involved in the Yakuza or something. She thinks the Yakuza on EVERYTHING in Japan even down to the Manga and Anime companies. I kind of think she's kind of crazy to be thinking like that. Again, can you help?

Considering that organized crime is well established in most countries, perhaps you should sound her out about the organization she knows best. Then maybe she will see the correlation and the odds of your involvement would not be any higher than they would be at home. Between mafia, biker gangs, hoods, triads and just haphazardly formed gangs where I live, I can't see yakuza as much more of a problem. |

So my question is, is my Mom right or is she wrong? |

She should be as fearful of the Yakuza in Japan as she is fearful of the Mafia in the US. For 99% of the country it is nothing more than news stories. |

I don't understand what it is you do. You represent Yakuza street gangs? Like bosozoku? I didn't realize they were into spanish hip-hop. |
haha the tatoo's are honor to have i have a full back tatoo of dragon choking a koi fish. the tatoos are more stories then just tatoo. for instance i used to love koi fish then mai koi fish died and this girl i loved was in a gang called ADC (animals dont care) and she was a gold fish she rejected me and it pissed me off i hate dthe whole gang so i had the dragon which represented me choking all the animals like the gold fish (koi fish).

Seriously? Your signature screams "I am a Japanese faker!" For starters わたし is 私, not 渡し (a kind of ferry). And I don't know how many guys who represent yakuza gangsters would use わたし anyway. But keep it up and prove me wrong. |

All I will ask is don't talk about things you know nothing about. Before you run off, never to be seen again, just let me make it clear to anyone who would read your words, that ToKiMoNsta does not live anywhere near Akihabara, and is nothing near a Japanese native speaker. |
