Yakuza and Triad have one thing in common: they adopt the least Confucian principles to their own groups.

That's all movie stuff. They don't want anyone to know who they are anymore so they quit cutting off fingers. Some don't even have tattoos. It would be like the Mafia wearing "Hello, I'm in the Mafia" T-shirts. They want a low profile.

Anyone hear about the prosthetics thing? There's a woman who discovered a way to make very realistic prosthetic hands and fingers for people who'd lost them in accidents and so on, only to find she had dozens of Yakuza queuing at her door, wanting to retire to another area or keep their activities hidden from their families and needed to hide their missing fingers to do so.

I know that, MMM. I'm not stupid here. I am well aware of the Yakuza's instincts.

The Yakuza is bigger than most think.. They are embedded in politics and large financial companies in Japan..

The brothels are openly popular in Japan and I've heard that the larger majority is run by the Yakuza..

Imagine what would happen if they died!

I barely understand what the Yakuza are and what they do. Mom is freaking out about the Yakuza because she heard/ read something about them that was bias and inaccurate. So can you help me out? ANY and all information on them will help.

Why is your mom freaking out about them? Do you live in Japan?

No, I don't. She's afraid that if I do live in Japan and work for a Japanese company I'll be somehow involved in the Yakuza or something. She thinks the Yakuza on EVERYTHING in Japan even down to the Manga and Anime companies. I kind of think she's kind of crazy to be thinking like that. Again, can you help?
