LOL. But if they don't pick up their phone, they're most likely too busy to talk - and I wouldn't stand a chance if I was with them for their attention anyway.

there is only 2 people that i know busy the rest live off of friends and family ok they r lazy people that have none thing to do

It exists as a pocket sized reminder that i have no friends and that nobody likes me.

I spend ages picking a really cool ring tone (like a 16bit rendition of the battle theme from FFVII taken from Newgrounds FF7: Fighting Theme NESfied ) but then it never rings.

I always make sure i top-up just before I get on the bus, then when the network txt me I look popular!! WIN!!!!111!

okay, you basically made this thread to rip the shit out of people who have a cell phone, Well done OP!

I live away from home and it makes me feel safer that i have a phone on me, especially after a night out, because if you're scared, i'm pretty sure theres one person in your contact list thats free. [you're theory that no one picks up is pretty damn...dumb]. Plus thats the only contact i can get with family nowadays.

Plus I run a society at uni, and there are helluva lot of snap decision meetings based on budget. so i need my phone on me at all times.

thats what i use my phone for.

A phone isn't really all that important, heck I don't mind using a payphone or asking someone if I can borrow theres, but I have one so I can keep in touch w/family if something is going on w/school such as the weather, bomb scare etc.
Since I have txting though I also keep in touch w/my friends when I'm not around a computer.

Japan would be boring without the telephone.

Necessary for contact with friends and family who don't live close enough for me to talk to everyday.
