What you're saying makes a lot of sense to me too, Salvanas-kun :)
I know, some kids can be really stubborn and rebellious sometimes. *If* you have parents who really care for ya, it's only natural for them to get angry at you if you do something wrong. Of course, it's only out of love that they do that. And if you really care for the in return, you should be there when they're down and unwell. Be mature and let them vent some of their frustrations on you for fear of them doing something more drastic. As kids, our parents had brought us into such a magnificent world. So although they ARE still resonsible for us, we wouldn't know any of our friends if they hadn't given birth to us ^_^ I believe if there's a misunderstanding between a parent and a kid, both will be in the wrong. It takes two hands to clap, and one to give in. If both see one another in each other's shoes, I'm sure authority barriers will be broken down and they'll be able to communicate much better. Lol, parents have obviously done the same thing... Then after a while, they feel really sorry and guilty for what they've done. The problem is, both refuse to admit their wrongs and hence, the tension can't go away. *sigh* The key is mutual trust and understanding between a parent and a child, and not questioning the actions of the other party all the time. That will just make matters worse and cause distrust. If your parents are good to you, forgive and forget, like what they'd do. After all, tomorrow's another day :D |
Yeah. I understand. I guess it's all in the relationship between the parent and the child.

as for me, i will try to answer the question with a question...If I become a parent someday, would i like my kids to respect me? Definitely YES! So i try hard to respect my parents even if they may not have been providing me with the best care, the best advice, the best life that money could buy...cuz they're the only parents i've got...I don't want my 'future' kids to remember me hating my parents cuz' they may hate me as well for that...for i'm pretty sure, i also won't be able to provide the best for them even if i want to... btw, coolnard...for such a young person, u're comments are so full of wisdom!!! u sure u are only 17???? he he...*kidding*....:vsign: |
Lol, last time I checked, I still was XD

, but if you consider it this way...what if they demanded your respect just because they pay for stuff and think that's love... nvm...all's well that could end well...hopefully anyway...
coolnard, your like an old man...Ojiisan...lol... |
Then if you have an alternative, ask someone else to adopt you - someone who actually cares. But if you can't,then i dont think you have much of a choice...
Lol, that's funny, kokunin, yeah, I can sound like a really old man when I'm debating :mtongue: But just catch me on a regular basis around here and I'm as cool as everyone else  |
