McDonald's is more expensive in Japan. I'd probably go once to see if the food tastes different, but I'd rather go somewhere else to eat. I was forced to eat at MickeyD's today because all of my friends were going. XDDD
|
I've eaten at Makku many times and will again, but never if there's a Mosburger or Freshness Burger around.
Mmmm... spicy mos cheesburger with fries... |

if i was in Japan and i was craving some american food once in a while. :) i've never been to/heard of Mos Burger o-0 and i've heard of Wendy's (oh, look at all those weird redheaded policemen chasing a chicken in that commercial...xD) but never went there either :|
tho, i don't kno one time that i ever got sick of Japanese/Chinese/Korean food xD |

It all depends on the apartment. Saying that single people never cook is silly. I know FAR FAR more single people who do cook than who eat out. Eating out most of the time ends up draining your cash - these days saving is a big thing. |
My guesthouse has a gas stove. Kinda new for me, in sweden most people have electrical ones. I was kinda impressed with how fast you can boil water or heat a frying pan on these things... damn!
Heh, I got like a half shelf in the fridge, same with freezer. Anyone knows how much a small fridge to have in the room or something costs? (about costs, as I remembered it beef was way expensive over here. But just yesterday I found some nice thin beef for like 300JPY / 250g, which is really cheaper than in Sweden atleast) |

I think that going to a McDonald's in Japan would give people a better understanding of the behaviors of another culture when you observe them in a similar situation that you yourself are familiar with.
Therefore in my opinion GOING to McDonald's, regardless of eating the food or not, is a culturally enriching experience in itself. |

I don't particularly like McDonalds, but I've been at least once in every country I've ever been to. I personally like comparing them. e.g. I found that in HK, it's slightly cheaper and the buns are slightly different to London.
Therefore, if and when I do go to Japan, I'm sure I'd go in there at least once. However, as I'm not really a fan of this kind of fast food, it wouldn't be a regular thing. |
I would go to McDonald's if I were living there, but if I was visiting I would diffenitly not waste my time there. I would want to eat at the local Japanese restaurants. Or just try out the ramen and sushi from Japan.
|
First Kitchen FTW in my humble opinion. :D
|
burgers are a bit smaller, i like the teriyaki burgers.
all drinks in japan are super small tho =P i always get 2 |

japanese food all the way. home in canada i would not go to mcdonalds. its cheaper to buy food from store. making it yourself. is a whole lot better than eating at a restaurant.:pandahurray: |
Never eat glasshouse if come through Vinita ,Oklahoma nasty. To be honest i changed my mind maybe but i hardly eat since my stomach hates most food. :vsign:
|
No I wouldn't because the whoole point in going to Japan is to experience the many different things they hav to offer that America doesn't have. But.....if the food there isn't what I thought it was cracked up to be then hey why not stop into a handy Mckie D's :D

Let's not forget that JAPAN is offering you a McDonald's lol. Just like the many fast food joints that are indigenous to Japan @_@ >_> |
I would not.I don't really like McDonald's.
|
I can't see too much harm in trying it.
McDonalds sucks here, so I'd like to see if it's more successful there ^_^ I don't really like McDonalds though, after I watched that 30 days movie. |
Yea. Makku has the 100 yen menu, so why not? It's nice shelling out one coin instead of a dollar bill and then the tax...

went there sometimes because it was on my campus. havent been there lately, but the closest is pretty far away from my apartment. if i'm on holiday i usually dont mind, as long as i eat traditional food regularly.

Yeah I probably would.

I plan to hangout with my friend at a 24HR Mac near my hostel till the next morning, then I'll check in to my hostel. Saves a day's money, since my plane arrives Japan pretty late. Other than that I guess no. Unless my low blood sugar strikes and I have nothing else to choose. X) But I don't think there's anything wrong though, trying it once just for fun. XD
But do people really eat and finishes the Double BigMac? |
