am still living and kicking japan this year :D

I went to Japan, Shanghai and Hong Kong last month.

It was my first time in Japan, and I visited the usual stuff. The Tokyo Tower, Akihabara, Shinjuku, Shibuya,...

Wanted to go to the Ghibli museum, but apparently, you had to book. They were out of reservations, bah.

Hoping to go to Japan for a bit of snowboarding then New Years celebrations, but snowboarding is turning out to be a lot more expensive than I thought!

With a bit of luck, I'll find a good enough deal with a decent resort!

This will be my second trip to Japan as a tourist. The previous one was in March 2005 with a friend. I'm going alone this time around. 9 full days in Japan, based in Tokyo. I plan to hit Shizuoka and Nagahama in one day to see the 1:1 scale Gundam and the Kaiyodo Museum. That will be my anime/hobby fix for the trip. I will also hit Kamakura and Yokohama on another day. I will go to Nikko another day and my final trip to make the best of my JR Pass will be to Kyoto.
I figure the other five days will be in Tokyo. I will hit the Miyazaki museum in Mitaka and go to Nakano Broadway the same day, since they're on the same line! I also plan to take a boat tour of the Sumida river and hopefully take a helicopter cruise of the city. The rest of the time will be shopping and taking photos of everything! This time I will go where and when I chose and not have to concern myself if someone doesn't want to go there or stay longer.
