Yes, Tokyo in 2010.

Unfortunately I did not discover this forum until I returned from my trip to Japan. The trip was much to short.... but wonderful.

I think we should have a thread like this (w/ poll) at the beginning of every year.

Anybody worried about how things will go once you're there? (I kind of am...)

Heading off tomorrow for 2 weeks. Work related...I'll be in Kansai and Tokyo, and my only worries are that I am not that familiar with Tokyo and where I'll be staying, but look forward to getting to know a new area.

Well, seems I'll be heading over to Japan in March...if all goes the way it's supposed to. Not sure exactly where, yet, but it'll more than likely be someplace in the Tohoku region.

Going with my Japanese Sensei for two weeks from March 8th!
Travelling through Tokyo, Kyoto, and as she calls it 'Snow Country'.
Very very excited, as it is my first time going, but it's only the first of many to come~

Me too, man.
And I have to clue how to get over this. I guess I'll have to wing it?
My plans changed, now I'm renting an apartment for half the trip, and I'll be living alone.
I have no clue how to find anything.
Any tips?

Where are you going to be?

And how will you be renting an apartment?

Probably a Southern Kyoto area.

It'll be a rental apartment, of course.

If Southern Kyoto even HAS rental apartments.

And other than guidebooks, I really have no clue how to get around.
Pretty nervous about this.

And sorry for double post.

I am sure they have apartments, but that can be a very expensive prospect. And how long will your trip be. It is hard to rent an apartment for anything less than a year. You are probably meaning a weekly mansion.
