You can try to make visual-kei outfit yourself and take a base from old clothes or ones you don't need. It's usually the best way to get something original and what you can't find in shops. Sewing of course can be troublesome, that's way it's easy to mix clothes together. If you have good ideas then it's possible.
If you are getting into visual-kei style only now, I'd suggest you to start slowly and carefully. A visual-kei fail is disgusting. If you do it, do it right!
