So, is Visual Kei just a style for J-Rockers, or is it a style you see on the streets? I don't really see things that are really all that similar in these pictures, either.
Can anyone explain this to me??

They all look pretty lacey and girly...but so does Lolita.

Oh, and the "Gothic Lolitas" that you posted are more on the punk side.
Just so you know. <3

Ah, thank you. As weird as the Gangura pictures are, I wouldn't have minded if that was a style. It's no worse than hardcore punks over here. =P

Punk Lolita? What are the major differences between Punk and Gothic?

Is Decora just a truck load of jewelry and hair clips?? Or is there more to it.
And thank you for the pictures, MissMisa.

This must be the most popular trend in Japan

Lol! I like it. It's a sexxi twist on business man, and sex slave. ;P

Haha! Just kidding. Sorry if this offends anyone.

Wow, yeah.
I dress the Decora style every day, or just wear cat ears with a fluffly skirt!
Lots of jewlery and hair clips. But I think the Ganguro style is a little too over the top... ^^;
I bet they're nice girls though, that like to have fun! <3

Ganguro is still a style, it's just a lot different. I think that the only thing that's the same is the tan. If you want to learn more about Ganguro or other forms of Gyaru, I would suggest looking at Ricoche since it's filled with Gals.

Gothic Lolita is like any other form of Lolita but with darker color schemes and imagery on the prints. For example, rather than like scones and puppies it would have, say, the ever-popular iron gate print.
Punk Lolita doesn't have the strict rules and guidelines very thoroughly applied. It's what you'd expect from anything with Punk in the name--tattered clothes, chains, skulls, etc etc. Also, The make tends to be thicker and darker and the hair short, androgynous, VK-like cuts.

Thank you CaraHime. I still hadn't really figured out the difference. =P
And I looked up Gyaru, and it does look like they tamed the make up down a bit. Lol!
Thanks again!!

HAHA! Thats becoming a trend here too, though rarely with the suit coat on and primarily in the afternoons.
I have my own version of it with the mouth closed, glass on my head and my chin dipped forward. However, being the iconoclast I buck the local trend by sleeping in the morning on the way in to work.
