Harajuku Fashion vs. Shibuya Fashion
Fashion wise - do you like Shibuya fashion?
Shibuya Summer Fashions - JapanSugoi - Everything Cool about Japan or a Harajuku fashion? Harajuku street fashion video - JapanSugoi - Everything Cool about Japan Shibuya for me. |
Shibuya's just better^^(not only fr the long legs of the models) but they are more stylish and diversified..not only searching for a 'kawaiikawaii' effect no matter what.
at least that's my opinion. |
Shibuya, definitly. It's the kind of thing I would wear. Harajuku is too alternative, dary, punkish and stuff, for me.
I like the Harajuku:D I like alternative, kawaii and punky clothes...Shibuya is nice and 'stylish', but it isn't what I like. I think Shibuya is more the same kind of outfits. In the vid was only very classical clothing. Harajuku has a lot of different things. Kawaii, but also punky and dark clothing.
but this is just what I think. *I'm not really fair..I love Lolita en gothic clothing, so that are the kind of style I always like better:marusmile: * |
I will always prefer Shibuya mainly for it's Gyaru style XD
hajaruku~!
I simply adore the Harajuku fashion. But really, my favorite Japanese fashion is Yukata. I love the lovely colorful kimono, and the traditional adherence. :vsign:
I love Harajuku fashion, it's so different
I love
I love Shibuya-fasion.
Because they are so cheap!! |
I've always loved harajuku fashion, but Shibuya hands down:gkitty:
from the videos it looks like Shibuya girls are alittle older than the Harajuku.. Given my age I should be choosing Shibuya, but it's also fun to get dressed in Harajuku fashion on some occations. So the answer to what would I choose? is Shibuya for family activities and more formal occations, but Harajuku for hanging out with friends :vsign:
I'd have to say Shibuya. I find Harajuku fashion...I don't know how to describe it... It's like you're asking for attention. Just like Punk clothing in america(not the style, I mean the attention part) I, though, find myself wearing punk-esque clothing more often than not, not because I'm looking for attention, but because I really like alot of the stuff.(studs, skulls, crazy hair, the works). Me saying this, is contradiction, I don't know...maybe I am just a confused case.
Harajuku is all about "SEE ME" which is itself not bad, sometimes it makes for an interesting afternoon so see how wierd some people can be
Hmm...from the clips on those two videos I would have to say that I prefer Harajuku. Some of the outfits are just plain crazy, but some of the girls looked nice too. :) Shibuya is just a little too conventional for my liking.
Is there are kind of sweet, vintage fashion in Japan that is vaguely rock-inspired but not too punk? Or would that still fall under the 'harajuku' bracket? |
I'd say it would fall under harajuku if there was anything. I remember seeing some pretty (awesome) modified kimonos a while back, though, I don't remember where -_-.
in winter most people are wearing big coats but the teens in Harajuku are still showing off their fashion despite the cold
I like them both, they are good in their own ways.
i like shibuyas but harujaka is nice too cuz its different but thy have a lot dresses which isnt my style
I would not wear any of them (guess why), but i would prefer if my J GF (if I had have any) would wear more feminine and classy Shibuya...
Shibuya becouse it's my style
i think i prefer harajuku fashion because it really different and you don't see that kind of fashion everyday....unless you live there xD
but i don't know i just kinda like most of japanese fashion |
I simply adore both ^_^
Presenting others with the same fashion statement everday is just outta the question for a guy like me  A little change occasionally can have positive effects too :D I believe what we wear and how we adorn ourselves truly reflects our emotions. Personalitywise is reflected through the 'theme' of our clothes and accessories. So I think that whichever style/fashion we choose to go along with, there'll always be some kinda resemblance between them if you read observantly the theme of it. Personally, I'd go for Shibuya, though I'm currently experimenting with Harajuku XD~! |
Both are beautiful in their own way. However, as someone who shops, A LOT, I would say that Shibuya would be the one for me. The clothes are so classy and the girls look so well put together. Harajuku is a bit more extreme but I find the clothing very interesting. Something that could be worn, but not on a regular basis.
i like shibuya fashion better from the videos.
sry if that question is kinda silly but: what's the difference bewteen those fashion styles? i mean not from the clothes only, i saw that difference in the video, but mainly ??? |
Both are great, but if I had to choose I'd say that darker Harajuku stuff, although the Shibuya stuff is also great.
The only problem with this stuff is, if you're guy you have to model yourself off what women wear, which can make it rather awkward. |
Argh too hardddddd!!!1
I'd have to say I prefer Harajuku, simply because i'm more into the alternative stuff, but i like some of the Shibuya stuff too. I've found with the right accessories, i can make anything work, so i'd probably end up blending both, just to mix it up a little :D ha, start a new fashion trend(unless there's already one like that that i haven't heard about)

Shibuya V Harajuku
Quote:
Shibuya. Harajuku looks a little too crazy for everyday, but Shibuya has a cool vibe without going over the top.
I like Harajuka more :]
I like Harajuku ! >.> I'm not against the shibuya fashion.
Being unusually dressed up is my style hehehe Peace everyone! ^_~\/ |
Harajuku fashion is more well known world wide because of cosplay.
I love both almost equally.. I can't really say I prefer one over the other ^^;; Maybe I'll prefer one after I experience both in person some time within the next year.
Shibuya over harajuku for me (to look at ehehehe). I prefer uhm, 'style' and 'class' over 'whacky' / 'goofy', no offence intended :P
i love harujuko because its all dressing up and all that. But usually, i wear more shobuya ish clothes because its like my day to day style except, not so much flesh baring Xd
I like Harajuku fashion better, mostly because it's all so cute and reminds me of chibis XD And I'm really into oshare Kei and Decora style (even though I don't dress that way)
i like the harajuku fashion but then.. i wouldn't exactly wear that... mayb its just me but the girls in harajuku video seem shorter XD
I like harajuku better. Shibuya has kinda normal fashion (I don't know for sure, I didn't watched the video until the end. It was boring) but in harajuku there was people with more interesting clothes.
Shibuya normal!? I think not. I love Shibuya for its Gyaru style.
well, it is hard to say just by watching one video. But yes, I think that the style in that video was common and I see it almost everyday.
I like the Shibuya fashion better.... But my opinon may bee a bit bias because i liked the girls better in the video Shibuya video:D Seriously, i just liked the style better.
