It totally depends. You need to wear it in an appropriate place at the right time to pull it off.

So, I wouldn't say there's no age limit.

I think it's sort of a teen-subculture fashion thing. Ask yourself, how many 20-something year old "scene kids" do you actually see. Sure, there will be some die hard lolita worshipers, but for the most part, the Japanese tend to outgrow it as they either enter the professional workforce or continue on to the university.

hm Yeah, UNI is usually a big step for everyone to change.
you kinda don't put as much effort in clothes, and lolita is ALOT of effort.

edit: in addition i'm going to mention i HATE these threads that ask questions about how old is too old, will i get bullied? etc? WTF. if you don't have the guts, don't do it. Those who do dress up in VK and lolita have a 80% chance of being seen as a twat. but they have the guts to take it. If you keep whining about how you get bullied because of it, GIVE IT UP.

Im not a big lolita fan, as 99.9% of the time the materials used are really tacky/tackily made...
if you put so much detail into something, you can see ALL ITS FLAWS
