Haha same here.
Also sushi, and sake.

In Japan for breakfast I ate rice every morning.
One great way to eat white rice was to put some rice in a small bowl, then use small strips of nori to make a little rice ball with the chopsticks, then dip it in soy sauce.

Some Milk Pocky, Chocolate Banana Candies, Caplido Drink, and some Eel sushi. I was at a local Bon Festival, it was so much fun!

Sounds interesting, Columbine! Can you tell us the name of the restaurant? I would like to try okonomiyaki sometime...:)

Sorry for the slow reply; It's called "ABENO" and there's three sister restaurants, as I said the easiest to find is by the south gate of the british museum (47, Museum Street, London, WC1A 1LY) and the second is at 17-18 Great Newport Street (smack bang by Leicester Square station). Not sure where the third is. Anyway, it's quite a Kansai style of food though of course they do other things as well.

That is Ebi Chili Don, a bowl of shrimp in chili sauce over rice - it was seasoned perfectly and was sooooooooo delicious! :) Next to it is an Ume Onigiri - a rice ball in the shape of a triangle with Ume (Japanese sweet plum) inside and wrapped around with seaweed. And lastly, for dessert, Dorayaki - 2 pancakes surrounding sweet red beans.

That looks amazing, expect for the plum seaweed. You can keep that.

Dorayaki? Weird. Interesting. Delicious, maybe..

I thought snoodles [yes I said snoodles] were invented in China? I know the Japanese have a really elaborate way of making Ramen but instant dry noodle packages like that came from China, no? I'm not knocking you, but I've heard so much crap about how it came from America, no it came from Japan raah! And I assumed it was from China...

I've said China too much.

Anyway...back on topic!

I ate Unagi sushi [first time trying something like that], I think my mouth had an orgasm.
