Kana question!
I was doing my homework and i noticed the word 'hotchikisu' wich means stapler but i was wondering how to write this word in kana because there is no symbol for 't' alone??
my guess is you just write ほちきす, that the t just isn't there, like the M in romaji changes into an N symbol in kana but still not sure so.. anyone knows? thank =D |
the t comes from a small 'tsu' character - same as Hatchobori (place in Tokyo)
I guess it just makes it easier to read in romaji than a cc? The answer is: ホッチキス Hope that helps! |
Oh hey! yeah i get it now thanks :p personally i think it would be easier to understand if they just wrote hocchikisu
why are you writing it in katakana though? i thought hotchikisu was a japanese word?? |
