Japanese script legibility

1 Attachment(s)
I opened this thread in order to show you a couple of images which I took to the last too paragraphs I wrote in Japanese. This was the first time that I wrote Japanese pretty quickly and I wrote all of the symbols with the correct stroke order.
As this is the first time that I write Japanese so fast, I would you to tell me whether my 'quick' hand writing is legible or not. If not, then I'll write it better next time, but what I want from you guys, all of you who enter to this thread even by accident, just to tell me if it is legible or not (I wish it to be so)

I DUNNO HOW TO attach the rest of the images. There are 5 ones

Nagoyankee 04-27-2009 04:01 PM

It's completely legible. A lot of Japanese junior high school students write like that.

hatsuto11 04-27-2009 04:02 PM

The atteched i mage is the worst one but I would like to hear your comments

Troo 04-27-2009 04:02 PM

That looks extremely legible to me - the bits I do recognise, that is.

hatsuto11 04-27-2009 04:04 PM

Oh, are you flattering me?
I don't think it's so legible, I mean the reason is that the uploaded image is the worst one. I wanted to show you another one which is better than it, but how can I attach more files?

Nagoyankee 04-27-2009 04:04 PM

We don't write number 7 the way you do. I forgot to mention in my last post.

SHAD0W 04-27-2009 04:07 PM

Thats a british 7, Nagoyankee :p

Yes, while pointing out that I'm not at the stage you're at yet. I have the kana and about 100 kanji in my head, so those which I know I can recognise in your writing and - obviously - those which I don't know I can't. But those which I don't know look clearly written, and I can recognise certain elements within them.

Your handwriting is fine. Obviously there's always room for improvement, but that's what practice is for.

It is indeed. But a Japanese reader might confuse it with ヲ.

hatsuto11 04-27-2009 04:14 PM

Oh, I would like to thank those of you guys who complimented me. I am very glad that it is legible. Thank you for encouraging me. But, don't you know how I can attach more images?. Tokorode (By the way), I am Arabic and not English, maybe we write the seven (7) just like British people do. I am wainting 4 ur answer:)

SHAD0W 04-27-2009 04:16 PM

Britain has alot of arabic influence so thats probably where we got it from :)

I've always written 7 that same way..Not sure where I got it from, it's pretty rare to see over here. I've even had some people ask me what it means, They had never seen it before.

hatsuto11 04-27-2009 04:23 PM

Oh, so are you British Shadow?
Actually, Isis ( I dunno if you remeber her or if she'd told you her name before, but she's a member in this forum from the UK) asked me if I know you once we were talking.
Nice to meet you Shadow-san

But i guess that u guys have changed the topic a bit. Furthermore, u haven't answered my question yet which was "how can i attach more images to this thread?" doesn't anyone of you guys know that?
I hope you also to tell more about the Japanese script itself, not about the seven.
Well, in fact i've been learning Japanese for just one year. Last year, when i was in the 9th grade i started to learn it on my own PC without any help from a teacher so do you think the level of my writing is good or not?

So you have a Japanese name 工藤隆 (Takashi Kudou), both given and family names. You are also Arabic and you've been studying Japanese for just one year. How do you expect us to believe any of this?

Give us a break, will ya?

KyleGoetz 04-30-2009 11:22 AM

Eminently legible handwriting.

And as for the "British" 7, I'd call it a "mathematician's" 7, personally. In a former life, I studied abstract mathematics at university, and we always wrote our sevens like that and our zees (zeds in the UK) with the extra cross as well to avoid confusion with one and two, respectively.
