The two that really gave me issue were る and　ろ but the memnonic I used to remember them was that る　has a RUby and in　ろ it's ROlled away.
Similarlyル andレ, though I never figured anything to help remember that.

oh! and vis-a-vis われね I remembered it as わ is like a round mouth saying 'wah' \(oわo)/, れ is like a pair of REins tied to a post waving in the wind, and ね is the spotty NErd left over.

Hahaha! no way! I was given that exact same sheet in my Japanese class (though I'd already learned them before hand)!

I remember the ruby one, aswell

I remembered ル because it looks like a kangaRU's tail and leg.

ね I remembered because it's the first part of 猫 and looks like a cat to me. It's also how I remember the kanji and in fact 猫 is the first kanji I learnt. All the other hiragana and katakana I learnt using the old write and repeat method. I still have issues with katakana though.

MissMisa and I have this kinda "in joke" now - Whenver we write も　we call out "Catch mo' fish with this!" like some form of tourettes. Very confusing for our new teacher who has not seen this help sheet and gives us funny looks cuz she's no idea of whats going on :D

I used to make things to remember kana while studying hiragana.

れ - I think this already looks like a r letter and it's reading in my native language is "re"
ね - this is also like a n and it's reading is "ne"

since these are okay わ is easy to remember. I don't think my way will work for anybody since it's about my native language.

example

き - I used to repeat "kilit" which means key while stuyding this kana. it looks like a key, isn't it?

け- this is "kedi" which means cat

せ - sepet, means basket

な - nakış işlemek, to embroider

め - "me" is the sound of koyun (sheep).

ぬ - kuyruklu koyunu kurt kapmış. The wolf snatched the sheep with tail.

は - time for halay. a folk dance performed by holding hands and forming a circle (accompanied by drum and zurna).

ほ - horon. hold your arms up and begin to dance horon, a folk dance of the eastern Black Sea coastal region.

む - musluk, tap, faucet

も - a cow bell and sound of cow is "mo"

ゆ - it looks like a fish and from yüzmek (swimming) comes yu

よ - the word for this kana for me is yol (road) to remember it's yo

ら - Egypt God "Ra" is sitting on the throne.

However I am still having trouble with katakana (also even if I could read it it's a big problem for me to get right word).

And for Kanji I am still very weak about it.
I sometimes do multiple-choice quizzes for Kanji and I get the meaning of Kanji right most of the time (not all the time) from the shape of it. (because of Basic Kanji Book which gives pictures with Kanji)

秋 I guessed this is autumn from options because it has fire kanji in it and autumn has fire colors.

安 cheap has woman 女 and from (some) woman obsessed with discount selling times I can remember cheap.

親 parent with look 見 parents watches us.

泳 swim from splashing 水 water around

here a funny mnemonic :
For Group 1 (シ (shi), ン (n) characters), imagine that the シ (shi) character represents a female face, with a mouth and two eyes tilted on the side. It’s a ’she’. Let the mnemonic be ‘SHE’. Imagine ’she’ ’she’ ’she’ whenever you see シ (shi).

Now notice that the ン (n) character, is identical except one of the eyes are closed! Imagine that ’she’ asked you to stay over for the night, but you were about to say ‘no’, however before you could, she quickly winked at you (with one eye closed). This caused you to stop in the middle of your speech, just with an ‘n’. You’re sort of shocked almost! It’s as if you can’t get the word ‘no’ out of your mouth because you feel butterflies running through your stomach as the girl is winking at you. Let ‘n….’ be your mnemonic. ‘She’ winks at you and surprises you, which prevents you from speaking properly, all you can say is ‘n…..’.
