Set "Input Mode" to "Hiragana". Then as you type hit the space bar to see kanji options.

Hey, Jawful here. I've lived in Japan for about a year and a half now, and it's pretty fun so far. I just became a member here. Not quite sure what this site is all about yet, but I saw a post by a guy wanting help with Japanese and thought I could help so I posted.
